Do you love watching Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution?
Do you want to learn how to cook healthy and tasty food like Jamie does?
Then come join our “Food Revolution Cooking, Viewing & FUN-draising Party on Tuesdays May10th, 17th and 24th!
The new season of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution started a few weeks ago on ABC (KGO, Channel 7 ) with Jamie in Los Angeles on his mission to inspire kids and families to eat healthier. (See a preview here.) But for me the real news is that Jamie and the American Heart Association (AHA) have an exciting new partnership. They are working together to create Food Revolution Kitchens, community-based centers where people can learn basic culinary skills to make affordable, healthy family meals. The May 10 episode will feature the American Heart Association. (Read about the partnership here.) The first Revolution Kitchen – a mobile kitchen in LA – has already received funding.
American Heart Association’s vision for 2020 is to improve the cardiovascular health of ALL Americans by 20%. As one of their Bay Area Task Force Member for this mission, I am giving back to my local community, and hosting four fun parties — gather and learn to cook, eat and watch the show together, and raise funds for their efforts, so that we all can live healthy for a long time!
